California has asked residents to stay home and help contain the spread of the coronavirus, and we have joined community efforts by taking recommended preventive measures for the safety of our team.
Although our staff are now primarily working remotely, we have provided them with the tools needed to continue to serve your needs. Currently we have the ability to receive and prepare orders. We are also talking with our logistics providers to see how we still may be able to send out shipments without long delays, but this may change on a daily basis. Your understanding and patience with this very challenging saturation is appreciated.
We understand the anxiety that people feel is not just focused on the virus, but about the uncertainty of the future, so let’s stay positive. This is not permanent, but a challenging moment in time. We are hopeful that one day, in the not-too-distant future, this pandemic will be controlled, and as we resume our daily activities again, we will chart a new path for a stronger, and safer, future with service, styles and smiles.

October is designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as a proud woman owned business – LULA101 is committed to raise awareness and promote diagnostic prevention for the disease. LULA101 encourages everyone to learn and communicate about breast cancer, breast health and the latest developments in medical research. Together, we shall fear no more.
In US as an example, other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Receive regular diagnostic procedures early, it could lower the risk of fatal outcome from breast cancer in later stages. LULA101 cares and encourages actions to be taken for yourself and your loved ones. Be part of the community and spread the words.
According to the American Cancer Society, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. The cancer organizations across the US also estimate that 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women, and an estimated 2,350 new cases will also be diagnosed in men. While these statistics highlight the necessity for early diagnostic detection, the results have been encouraging and demonstrated solid impacts. After years of monitoring, The American Cancer Society reports the breast cancer death rate has down 34% since 1990. As of Jan. 1, 2014, there were more than 3.1 million breast cancer survivors. The World Cancer Research Fund International also reports that there are more than 6 million breast cancer survivors worldwide.
It is certainly gives millions more reasons to celebrate this month. However, we can’t stop here. With your support and advocacy, we need to end this heartache disease.
LULA101 was founded at the dawn of this millennium, with HOPE serves as the compass navigating through misty challenges and COURAGE serves as the mainsail piloting through stormy adversities. The heartfelt story began in 1980, an inspirational #BreastCancerSurvivor Ms Janelle Hail had dedicated her life to increase awareness and importance of early detection. She found the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, and for the past 24 years it has invested the tremendous efforts to educate the world about the disease and provide free mammograms for all across 50 states.

Denik gathers artists from across the globe and puts their work on journals, notebooks, sketchbooks, as Denik believes art can change the world. A portion from every notebook purchased goes to fund building schools in developing countries. Not only do the schools get funding, but a portion of the profit also helps to support the artist to continue using their talents to make this world a better place.
Reach, a veteran artist from Taiwan pushes Taiwanese graffiti to the international platform through the Pow Wow Taiwan event, and dedicates his life to graffiti. His art is clean and well- crafted along with clear colors. Reach’s art can range from simple to complicated art forms and he always amazes us. Denik and Reach collaborative notebook is helping Reach with his graffiti tour in Taiwan. The purpose of this “All City Tour” is for Reach to travel to every single city in Taiwan, and leave his graffiti art, legally, on noticeable buildings.
Lula 101 made this collaboration possible by referring Reach to Denik. We, like Denik, truly believe that art can change the world. This collaborative notebook was made in the U.S. with recycled paper, and came in with a regular size and a pocket size, exclusively sold at Hopes (Lula directly owned retail).
Lula and Denik are supporting him on this tour and all the profits earned on this notebook will fund Reach on his trip. We wish the best of luck to him and cannot wait to see his art through out Taiwan. Here are a few work done:

Da Village is an organization in Taiwan that are an enthusiast on basketball and support it immensely. DV’s goal is to grow the sport in Taiwan and loves spreading the love of basketball just like Daniel Kasidy. (owner/ founder of Rastaclat).
Da Village has teamed up with Rastaclat to create a cool collaboration bracelet inspired by the heart, soul and passion that the sport of basketball brings to players and fans alike. The Da Village bracelet was enabled by Sherry Lu Ross (owner/ founder of Lula 101) , whose relationships with the owners helped make this collaboration possible. Rastaclat is stoked to be a part of this collab and hopes to attend the upcoming event, DV 33. Da Village’s slogan is “DV got your back.” DV supports everyone’s basketball dreams and is there every step of the way.
